The price of legal advice should not be the frightening part.
Most people who need a solicitor have never instructed one, and what frightens them is an open ended bill. So we fix a fee wherever a fee can honestly be fixed: property transactions, probate, employment contracts, and most disputes up to the point proceedings are issued.
Where a matter genuinely cannot be estimated in advance, you get a written estimate, an hourly rate, and a standing promise to tell you before we go over it.
